Heads up, nerdy post:
My Arch Linux broke on my Eee PC a little over a week ago, I finally just now finished fixing it. So glad to have it back, I missed it :(
Somehow my rc.conf, fstab, and inittab got reset. Then also my HAL and GDM completely broke, both requiring reinstalls. Of course I had to figure this all out one by one, as it seemed there was a never ending list of why my computer wouldn’t turn on…
I have no idea what caused this, I did upgrade my kernel prior to 2.6.32.10-1, so maybe that was somehow the cause? And whatever it was, it also it screwed up my wifi so bad that it got disabled at the BIOS level. yeaahhhhhhh. Arch Linux Linux Eee PC
